Growing Your Business
March 23, 2010It’s a tough time to own your own business, but many smart and savvy business people are still thriving despite the economy. Here are some ways to keep your business growing:
Dominate
Be a leader in your industry and do research before you launch a new service or product. What are some common problems in your industry? What about costs? Think outside the box and find ways to break free from problems and lower costs. Customers will flock to you and others in your industry will follow your lead.
Brand
Fortune Magazine suggests that your company own a phrase. For instance, Energy Brands coined the phrase “enhanced waters”. You will know if you truly own a phrase if you Google it and your company is at the top of the list. Also, what do you want your customers to think when they see this phrase? Quality? Value?
Align
It is important that everyone in your company know the goals of the company and work towards them. You might have an overarching goal to make a certain amount of money in a certain quarter. The next quarter, you might focus on online marketing and Google ranking. An informed and aligned staff will work together to make it happen.
